Lakewood’s climate, with its dry winters and sudden temperature swings, accelerates masonry deterioration, making annual inspections non-negotiable. We specialize in identifying cracks in your clay tile liner, gaps in mortar joints, and deteriorating chimney crowns before they allow heat or gases to escape into your attic or living spaces. Our Level 2 inspections include thermal imaging to detect hidden moisture damage, a critical step ignored by many sweep services. We’re not just checking boxes; we’re giving Lakewood homeowners peace of mind that their chimney meets the same safety codes enforced in commercial buildings. Trust us to treat your hearth with the same scrutiny as a hospital’s boiler room.
Choosing Johnson Chimney Co means partnering with a local business that treats your safety like its own family’s. We’re members of the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) and follow NFPA 211 standards to the letter, so you won’t find ‘good enough’ here, only excellence. From the first phone call to the final sweep, our Lakewood-based crew arrives on time, in uniform, and with fully stocked trucks to handle any repair or cleaning need. We even offer same-day appointments for urgent carbon monoxide detector alerts or post-storm damage. Because in Lakewood, where foothills meet suburbia, your chimney isn’t just a feature, it’s a lifeline.
We’re the only chimney sweep in Lakewood certified to perform repairs under Colorado’s strict building codes, including seismic retrofitting for older masonry. Our work isn’t just cosmetic; it’s structural integrity for your home’s most vulnerable vertical seam. Whether your chimney leans slightly due to shifting soil or your damper sticks shut from rust, we restore function without overcharging. Homeowners trust us because we explain repairs in plain English, no upsells, no fear tactics, just honest assessments and fair pricing. In a city where DIY ‘solutions’ often backfire (we’ve seen tarps stapled over flues and plastic sheeting duct-taped to roofs), our professional approach saves you from costly mistakes. Your Lakewood home deserves better than a Band-Aid fix.
